Moet’s 1992 Grand Vintage is a very pretty wine for readers who enjoy Champagnes with a bit more of the natural evolution that develops in bottle. Baked apple tart, brioche, smoke, apricot, honey and lemon confit are all laced together. The 1992 possesses terrific energy and verve, even if it comes across as a bit compact for a wine of its age. The blend is 45% Pinot Noir, 40% Chardonnay and 15% Meunier. Disgorged: February, 2004.
