Zesty lemon and tingling pineapple core lend uncommon invigoration on top of the more Pinot Blanc–typical flavors of apple and almond that are anticipated on the nose. The feel is predictably rich, but even at 13.5% alcohol there is no sense of heaviness and only the merest hint of heat. A saline, meaty impression of mussels and clam stock stimulates the salivary glands, and the vibrant, mouthwatering, prodigiously savory finish is transparent to myriad mineral nuances.
