2019 Barolo Cerretta

A fresh and fine Barolo with firm tannins that give the young wine lift. It’s medium-bodied with some pretty fruit and a clean finish. Raspberry and strawberry character. Slightly fluid in the finish. Drink in a year or two. (07/2023)

The 2019 Barolo Cerretta is an attractive red with a supple perfume and a balanced sheen and purity. It displays elegance and grace, though it still has great Serrralunga structure. With the ripe, sweet tannins that are characteristic of these wines. This is a really wonderful wine that can be drunk now or over the next 15 to 20 years. (05/2023)

Pale garnet-purple in color, the 2019 Barolo Cerretta waltzes out with fragrant scents of kirsch, dried roses, and redcurrant jelly, plus wafts of charcoal and tobacco leaf. The medium to full-bodied palate has firm, chalky tannins and bright acidity supporting the delicate red berry and mineral flavors, finishing long and earthy. (08/2023)
