"This wine showcases ripe, juicy blackcurrant and black cherry fruit, delivering a clean, fruity profile with a touch of spice and dark fruit - a serious yet refined expression. Super fine tannins and pure fruit showcase restraint and sophistication, while intense flavours pack a punch. The finish is compact, knitted down with liquorice, mint, tobacco, slate, and dark chocolate notes. Complete, chiselled, complex and layered, it’s moreish and defies the challenges of the 2024 vintage. Ageing 80% new French oak barrels. 3.86pH." - Georgina Hindle (04/2025)

"Some pretty intense smoky oak notes on the opening, this has smooth if chunky tannins, a success in the vintage, cassis and bilberry fruits, slightly overpowering cloves, grilled sandalwood, coffee and cocoa bean, has character and estate signature, atypical for the year. Harvest 1 to 7 October. 3.78 pH No chaptilisation. 3.78 pH, 32hl/hha, 80% new oak." (04/2025)

The 2024 Le Dôme is a very pretty Cabernet-Franc-based Saint-Émilion from old vines planted in 1947. Sweet pipe tobacco, mocha, espresso, incense and dried herbs lend notable aromatic presence and a good bit of energy to match. Macerated red cherry, kirsch, espresso, leather and cedar fill out the layers effortlessly. Le Dôme is quite attractive in 2024, although it comes across as not fully formed. Then again, that's what élevage is for.

A medium- to full-bodied wine with chewy tannins. Nicely peppery, this has spiced cherries, berries, paprika and hazelnuts. Tight-grained and long in the finish. Elegant and more nuanced than previous vintages, but this is not a year for midpalate depth.

Looking at the 2024 Le Dome, it checks in as 80% Cabernet Franc and 20% Merlot that will spend 16-18 months in 80% new oak. It has a deep purple hue as well as rocking aromatics of ripe black fruits, red currants, roasted herbs, graphite, and spring flowers. It picks up a distinct minerality with time in the glass and is medium to full-bodied, has a pure, elegant, finesse-driven mouthfeel, fine yet present tannins, and a great finish. (05/2025)

Deep garnet-purple colored. Notes of red currant jelly and Morello cherries leap from the glass, plus nuances of rose oil, cloves, and anise with a waft of forest floor. The medium-bodied palate is tightly wound with a good intensity of savory-laced red berry flavors, supported by firm, grainy tannins and just enough freshness, finishing long and minerally. Nice!
