2014 Ruben's Block Syrah

Showing more integration and balance than the Hilltops Syrah, the 200-case 2014 Syrah Ruben's Block saw the exact same élevage and aging. Its ruby color is followed by red and black fruits, crushed violet, licorice and incense aromas and flavors, with some background pepper coming through with air. Medium to full-bodied, silky and gorgeous, with lots of tannin, yet ripe and with no astringency, give bottles 2-3 years and drink over the following 7-8.
