The 2015 Poujeaux has a fragrant, quite floral bouquet of pretty red berry fruit, rose petal and damp undergrowth scents. The palate is medium-bodied with slightly coarse tannin, but there is a fine bead of acidity and a pleasing tobacco-stained finish. Fine, but not long-term. Tasted blind at the Southwold 2015 Bordeaux tasting.

Suave, brambly mixed summer berry fruits take center stage on the nose with a very nicely layered palate carrying fresh bright berry flavors into an upbeat finish. Smart wine. Try from 2022. (02/2018)

The 2015 Château Poujeaux is a Cabernet Sauvignon dominated red that includes 42% Merlot, 6% Petit Verdot and 2% Cabernet Franc. It’s a medium-bodied, classic, workhorse styled beauty offering lots of currant and black cherry fruits, plenty of minerality, fine tannin and solid concentration. It has more density than most Moulis and will keep for 10-15 years. (11/2017)

The 2015 Poujeaux is medium to deep garnet colored. It leaps with notions of ripe blackcurrants, mulberries, and Morello cherries, plus suggestions of dried herbs and underbrush. The medium-bodied palate delivers a good amount of muscular red and black fruits, with a sturdy frame of chewy tannins and a savory finish. (11/2022)

A pretty wine, with floral notes out front followed by enticing plum and cherry compote accents. Light savory and tobacco hints gild the finish. Best from 2019 through 2025. 12,500 cases made.

The 2015 Poujeax is medium to deep garnet-purple in color with some spices on the nose over a core of red cherries and black plums plus a hint of charcoal. It's medium-bodied and uncomplicated in the mouth with a decent fruit core and chewy tannins.
