Der 2016er Merlot von Laurence zeigt sich einladend fruchtig und samtig mit einer ausgewogenen Balance und feiner Würze. Dunkle Beeren, wie Cassis und Brombeere gepaart mit etwas Schokolade am Gaumen runden diesen Rotwein wunderschön ab. Ein kompakter Wein, der durch eine angenehme Säure und feinen Tanninen unterstützt wird. Einfach rundum gelungen mit anhaltenden Abgang.

The 2016 Laurence, 100% Merlot, has turned out beautifully. Ample and creamy on the palate, with lovely red cherry and plum fruit, the Laurence has so much to offer. Leather, lavender, spice and dried herbs add layers of nuance to this fleshy, expressive Bordeaux Supérieur. Laurence is co-owned by Hubert de Boüard and his cellarmaster at La Fleur de Boüard, Philippe Nunes.

Dried and fresh flowers with spiced earth on the nose. The palate has a very bright and plump array of red-berry, chocolate and plum flavors, all intermingling nicely to give a balanced, even finish. Try from 2021.

This is a project that's co-owned by Hubert de Bouärd and Philippe Nunes, Hubert's enologist/cellar master at La Fleur de Boüard in Lalande-de-Pomerol. The eight-hectare vineyard is planted on clay and gravelly soils. Composed of 100% Merlot, the 2016 Laurence hits the ground running with bold blueberries and blackberries scents with hints of star anise, spice cake and dusty soil notes plus a waft of tapenade. The palate is medium to full-bodied, firm and velvety with great concentration and loads of layers, finishing long. Total production is around 1,300 cases.
