The 2018 Angludet has a very attractive bouquet of pure blackberry and blueberry fruit, a discreet floral element and glimpses of cassis coming through with aeration. It is delicate but very refined. The palate is medium-bodied with fine tannins, a little pinched on the entry but gradually fanning out toward the finish, which is detailed and full of tension. One of the best vintages of Angludet that I have tasted in recent years.

Ripe berries with some stewed fruit and currants on the nose. The palate is full and very rich with chewy tannins that are bold and slightly rustic, yet very attractive at the same time. A more traditional feel here. Try after 2024. (01/2021)

Somewhat wild, meaty aromatics and flavors detract from the purity of an otherwise compelling effort.
