The 2018 Meursault 1er Cru Charmes Cru Hospices de Beaune Cuvée de Bahèzre de Lanlay bursts with aromas of pear and waxy citrus rind, framed by the smoky, toasty overlay typical of the Hospice's new barrels. Medium to full-bodied, chalky and tensile, it's nicely balanced with fine depth at the core, concluding with a vanillin-inflected finish.
