"Acquired in 1997 by the Delon family, owners of Châteaux Léoville Las Cases and Potensac on the Left Bank, Château Nénin occupies a fine position on the Pomerol plateau with gravelly-clay and clay-sand soils. One of the larger estates in the appellation, it has undergone significant vineyard restructuring (draining, replanting and new pruning methods) and cellar modernisation under Jean-Hubert Delon’s long-term vision. The property benefits from the family’s proven expertise in precise, patient management across their Bordeaux holdings, offering a structured and serious Pomerol capable of long ageing. Georgie Hindle: Pure scents of blackcurrant and flowers. Bright acidity with plum and red cherry gloss. Rich but balanced and moreish, crisp almost. More St-Emilion in style than Pomerol. Arthur Coggill: Ripe redcurrant and damson. Forward and lifted, spicy oak behind. Sweetly ripe, with fresh raspberry and boysenberry. Aromatically pure finish. Tom King: Blueberry, cream, toasty oak. Complete, with sumptuous succulence of fruit and rounded, velvety tannins. This is really harmonious and I simply love it!" - Georgie Hindle, Arthur Coggill, Tom King (05/2026)
