The 2020 Peymouton is a charming Saint-Émilion to drink now and over the next 10-15 years. Succulent dark cherry, plum, spice, leather and incense are all nicely pushed forward. Soft tannins wrap it all together, giving this mid-weight Saint-Émilion tons of near-term appeal.

Attractive aromas of plums and chocolate with some hazelnut. Dusty undertones. Medium-bodied with fine and polished tannins and a succulent finish. Hints of orange peel at the end. Drinkable, but better in 2024. (03/2023)

The 2020 Château Peymouton is based on 79% Merlot, 12% Cabernet Franc and the rest Cabernet Sauvignon, all from a 31-hectare parcel of deep red clay soils. It has a healthy ruby/purple hue as well as good complexity in its ripe cherry and redcurrant fruits and notes of cedarwood, green herbs, and tobacco leaf. It's nicely balanced, medium to full-bodied, has ripe tannins, and solid length on the finish. (03/2023)

A blend of 79% Merlot, 12% Cabernet Franc, and 9% Cabernet Sauvignon, the 2020 Peymouton is deep garnet-purple in color. It features notes of Morello cherries, black raspberries, and underbrush, followed by hints of bay leaves and crushed rocks. Medium-bodied the palate is soft and juicy with a good amount of red berry flavor and a savory finish. (03/2023)

Shows steeped raspberry and plum notes that weave through, along with light licorice and tea accents. Picks up a cedary edge through the finish, giving this a slight grainy feel. Merlot, Cabernet Franc and Cabernet Sauvignon. Drink now through 2026. 5,400 cases made, 740 cases imported.

Produced by the team from Laroque, the 2020 Peymouton offers up aromas of sweet cherries, baked berry fruit, rose petals and kirsch. Medium to full-bodied, its fleshy core of fruit is framed by lively acids and youthfully chewy tannins.
