"Château Bel-Air has long been guided by Madame Melet (Marie-Françoise Melet, née Sudrat), the respected and dedicated matriarch who has steered the estate for more than three decades alongside her husband and, since 2003, their daughter Véronique. Consultant Romain Bocchio of Derenoncourt Vignerons Consultants brings precision to the winemaking, which blends traditional methods with modern sensitivity, including vinification in concrete tanks. This historic plateau property reflects a charming mix of heritage and sincere evolution. Georgie Hindle: High-toned summer berry notes. Delicate tannins and easy texture. Could come across as a touch lean; however, it also feels slick, finessed and harmonious. Arthur Coggill: Sweetly spiced with cumin and cloves, ripe blueberry, damson, tapenade and slate. Succulent, with crisp acidity and good freshness. A lovely, aromatic finish. Tom King: Violet and blueberry, blackcurrant fruit pastilles, along with a waft of fragrant wood. Juicy and generous, with a lovely soft texture and harmony." - Georgie Hindle, Arthur Coggill, Tom King (05/2026)
