Wine Enthusiast: 96 Punkte
This newer, more affordable offering allows a peek at this estate project by Sashi Moorman and Rajat Parr. Aromas of dark plum, incense, bay leaf and cola show on the nose, while the palate picks up generous baked cherry flavors, with menthol and peppercorn elements riding a grippy texture long into the finish. - Matt Kettmann (07/2022)
This estate cuvée exhibits an exhilarating aromatic complexity unusual for a wine so young. At the core, a bright array of summery red and black fruits finds itself adorned with a glowing perfume of mint, sassafras, baking spice, rock dust, garden leaves. Rich and viscously flowing in the mouth, the tannins here are incredibly fine and artfully integrated, making for a wine silky and lustrous. During its sleek passage through the mouth, the wine’s effortless concentration is notable—a compactness of detail without overwhelming with heaviness and density. It is a complex, artful wine that has no business being so irresistibly easy-drinking.
