2020 Il Caberlot | MG

Very characterful and spicy nose full of peppery fruit. Lots of black pepper here with some pencil lead and a meaty undertone to the blue fruit. Polished and gamey on the medium-bodied palate with fresh, high acidity and lots of crushed blueberries and peppercorn spices in the linear, lengthy finish. Caberlot, a crossing between cabernet franc and merlot. Can be an acquired taste if you don’t like peppery spices. Drink or hold. (08/2023)
