"It’s not as opulent or immediately expressive as the thrilling 2021 vintage, but this multi-region blend – taking fruit from Coonawarra, Padthaway, Wrattonbully, McLaren Vale and the Barossa – provides another very strong example of carefully defined varietal expression. The nose is pretty, although the entry seems a bit thin before the fresh blackberry and sage flavours bloom in the mid-palate and persist, riding on the back of well-balanced tannins. As the most modestly priced elite Cabernet wine in the Penfolds portfolio, it also represents good value." - David Sly (07/2025)
