"Goes long on the black fruit character of Cabernet, shot through with freshly cut herbs and spices, bitter chocolate, grippy tannins, this is an excellent vintage of a wine that is named after Philip (Filippo) de Mazzei, a political thinker who went to the States during the American Revolution, and helped write the first constitution with Washington and Jefferson.
