"Vivid blackberry and cassis fruit, anis, lavender, fennel, graphite, with a subtle carmelised note. There is a softness and an integration to the tannins that is surprising in a young Pym-Rae, reflecting the ripeness of the fruit in this famously hot and dry year in Napa, and the increasingly precise understanding of the vineyard as we head towards eight years under the Tesserons. The location of Pym-Rae, isolated and well ventilated at 550m altitude of the 7.5ha of vines gave it some respite in the heat, as did the touch of rain during the long, slow harvest from September 7 to October 13. Aged in 50% cement, 50% new French oak. First full vintage for the Jérome Ledit. Julien Viaud and Michel Rolland consultants." (09/2026)
