The 2022 Tempo d'Angélus, which comes from the Côtes de Castillon on mainly limestone soils. Aimed to be fresh and approachable, it aged in 40% new oak. This offers blackberry and wild strawberry scents on the nose, needing just a few swirls to open. It’s very fresh, almost shrill. The palate is medium-bodied with grainy tannins, slightly tart red fruit laced with orange rind and that limestone imparting light minerally notes on the finish. Drink this over the next three to five years.
