The 2023 Bâtard-Montrachet Grand Cru is frankly in a different league to the Bienvenue this year. It's far richer and more complex with greater mineralité. The palate is well balanced with a smooth entry and quite creamy in style but with ample depth. Quite harmonious with hints of peach skin toward the finish, this is going to be seductive Bâtard-Montrachet. This is excellent. - Neal Martin (11/2024)

Mind-blowingly deep and subtle nose of stone fruit with citrusy nuances. All the density of Batard, but with such elegance at the extremely long, focused finish. Great potential! From old vines purchased in 2008. - Stuart Pigott (06/2023)

The soils here are stonier and faster draining, and the 2023 Bâtard-Montrachet Grand Cru is denser and more unctuous than the Bienvenues. Exhibiting notes of pear, lime zest, toasted bread, white flowers and hazelnuts, it's full-bodied, deep and concentrated, with broad shoulders and plenty of structuring extract. - William Kelley (01/2025)
