"... extrem komplexe, feine, nuancierte Nase, feine reduktive Noten, etwas Schießpulver, frische, exotische Anklänge, feine florale Töne, mineralisch, am Gaumen ganz große Struktur und Balance, die Finesse ist atemberaubend" (02/2025)

"Gunsmoke and flint reduction, the structure and power is clear, gorgeous and juicy, unrolling to show white peach, gooseberry, preserved lemon, grated ginger, mint leaf. Give it time in glass or carafe, as this is structured and full of hidden nuance. Unfiltered and unfined. Rick Kinzbrunner owner and winemaker. 30% new oak, Burgundy sourcing, their own selection and drying, Alea and Vosges. A small crop after a small fruit set. Second time tasting, last time as a barrel sample, and I am holding the score." (07/2025)

"Reductive nose, matchstick smokiness with buttery salty popcorn aromas, so distinct and clear. Lovely purity with some toasted brioche elements and toasted almonds. So clear and pure, a zingy vibrant acidity that catches you off guard, crystalline doesn't quite explain it, but this is scintillatingly fresh with tension and superb direction. This has a great balance with push and finesse - not too tense or lean, not heavy - a gorgeous filling, generous but gentle power and structure. Leaves a salty, lemon and pineapple touch on the finish that just lasts and lasts! Super sophisticated and just a gorgeous wine from the coolest vintage since 2017. Less heady than the 2021 but there’s no doubting the refinement and precision on offer while being so enjoyable. 3.19pH. Acidity under 6g. Basket press, natural yeasts. No pumps. Minimal settling before fermentation. No sulphur dioxide in the crushing and pressing stage. No filtering or fining. Even bottling is done by gravity. Stays on lees for a year with very little battonage. 30% new oak." - Georgina Hindle (07/2025)

"Crystalline in its purity with a generous sweet nuttiness and a butter-tinged richness that really impress. White flowers and angelica, a little candied fruit alongside the yellow plum, Mirabelle and white pear. Struck match. Confit and fresh melon. Sesame seed and a hint of sesame oil – hand-crushed. Almonds and toasted almonds and a little frangipane. Buttercup. A little saffron and perhaps also a scratch of mace and a grating of lime zest. There are also yellow blooms and a hint of ginger which reappears on the finish. Svelte, quite glossy in texture and lithe and lithesome. There’s a saline note – soy to go with the yuzu. And despite the considerable viscosity there’s plenty of lift here, rendering this impressively aerial. Very shapely and very pure with the sense of purity reinforced by the slightly flinty minerality." - Colin Hay (09/2025)
