2023 Goldlack Riesling trocken

The 2023 Riesling Schloss Johannisberg Goldlack was picked in a tiny parcel called Mäuerchen Quer that yields exactly two Stück barrels — 2,400 liters. They age on the lowest floor of the cool cellar. The 2023 is the current release. A touch of pine resin makes the first impression on the lifted nose. Smooth lemon and stone take over on the palate, which delivers a concentrated flow and electric acidity. This is total power. (Bone-dry)

A rich and complex wine with full aromas of candied lemons, cedar, flint, minerals and stone fruit. Medium-bodied with a lot of weight, a savory leesy character, racy integrated acidity and a salty finish of Amalfi lemons and minerals. Drink or hold.
