The 2023 Riesling Grand Cru Hengst is from a 2016-planted parcel with 9,000 vines per hectare that's steep and facing slightly more east, at the top of the site on slightly deeper soils. This is golden in hue but rather shy on the nose, still keeping its secrets. Much swirling reveals a cool touch of tangerine. The palate is wonderfully fluid, taut, soothing and fresh. Its elongated, serene mouthfeel is all citrus. (Bone-dry)
