From the smallest and most aromatic and concentrated berries of the vintage, the 2023 Schlossberg Hecklingen Spätburgunder GG is deep, very intense and saline on the nose, intertwined with toast, mocha, chocolate and iodine notes. This is an oil painting compared to the aquarelle of the Bienenberg or Sommerberg. Full-bodied, generous and saline on the palate, this is a mouth-filling, round and juicy, relatively open Pinot with fine tannins and a sweet fruit core. The wine has power, flesh and intensity 13.5% stated alcohol. Natural cork. Tasted at the domaine in July 2025.
