From the oldest vines in the easternmost plot of the Bürgstädter Berg comes Fürst's 2023 Weisser Burgunder >R<, an iconic wine that Fürst has been famous for producing for about 25 years. Sourced on meager, white shell limestone, the intensely yellow-colored Pinot Blanc opens with a dense and aromatic as well as savory bouquet of ripe, lush fruits intertwined with rocky limestone notes. Full-bodied and generous on the silky-textured palate, this is a highly complex, firm and saline, very persistent and savory Pinot that was aged in pièces for about 16 months. The finish is dense, very long and highly complex. You could put this Pinot Blanc in any Chardonnay tasting. 12.5% stated alcohol. Natural cork. Tasted in October 2025.
