"Stunning, stood out even when tasted against a Puligny Montrachet over a long dinner, and again when tasted in the lineup of other wines released in this report. Holds your interest from the first moment, preserved lemons, grated ginger, liqourice root, elderflower, fennel, Juicy and powerful, cradling slate grip, full of Spring promise, delivering character and personality. A great Chardonnay, from owner Will Berliner." (02/2026)

"Almond skin, frangipane, with a little grating of fresh lime zest and a handful of newly plucked wild strawberries. Pollen, beeswax and the flowers from which the bees harvested their pollen! There’s a lovely crushed rock, stony minerality too. Rich, but not too ample, incredibly dense and compact – one feels the viscosity. Spherical at its core and with a racy citrus-tinted acidity that breaks the surface at the edges and rises vertically towards the top of the mouth. Brilliantly vibrant and exciting with a little touch of ginger and galangal on the long, tapering finish. Every bit as good as the 2023, my previous favourite. Tasted twice with almost identical notes. Needs time for the oak to integrate, but it will (as my vertical of last year shows so well)." - Colin Hay (03/2026)
