"...schöne, klare, frische Frucht, sehr blaubeerig, Mitte schlank, kräftige Tannine, etwas bitter, saftig, Sauerkirschen, gut, nicht ganz groß." (04/2025)

Yves Beck: 94-96 Punkte

"Das Bouquet von Beychevelle zeigt Noten von schwarzen Beeren, Süßholz und Graphit gefolgt von blumigen Anklängen. Der Wein ist frisch, dicht, etwas lieblich im Auftakt und wird von feinkörnigen, bestens eingebundenen Tanninen gestützt. Diese sorgen für Kraft und Länge, gemeinsam mit einer erfrischenden Säure." (04/2025)

Jane Anson: 92 Punkte

"Deep ruby cherry colour, this opens with bright plum and blackberry fruits, laced with cloves, white pepper, apple blossom. St Julien signature but the acidity accentuates the tannic grip at this point. Grands Millésimes De France, 41hl/ha yield." (04/2025)

Falstaff: 93 Punkte

"Dunkles Rubingranat, violette Reflexe, zarte Randaufhellung. Zarte Brombeernote, etwas Nougat, schwarze Kirschen, kandierte Orangenzesten sind unterlegt. Saftig, elegant, rote Herzkirschen, Johannisbeeren, runde Tannine, gute Frische, bleibt haften, ein lebendiger Speisenbegleiter mit Reifepotenzial." - Peter Moser (04/2025)

Vinum: 94 Punkte

"Dunkles Rubinrot; expressiver Duft, strahlende Brombeerfrucht, Cassisnoten, kalter Kamin; rund und weich im Auftakt, sensationell feine Gerbstoffe, druckvoll, jedoch nicht schwerfällig, viel Präzision, sehr gute, aromatische Länge. Hervorragend in diesem Jahr." (04/2025)

The Drinks Business: 92-94 Punkte

"The most floral of the classed growths of St Julien and very pretty aromatically once again. We could almost still be in Margaux, but for the distinct walnut and blanched almond notes. There’s a creamy richness to this that is impressive too. The fruit – red berries, a little red cherry, some black cherries too – is picture-perfectly pure and precise and there’s a generosity to the mid-palate that sets this above most of its peers. Shimmering in its succulence on the juicy finish." - Colin Hay (04/2025)

Decanter: 92 Punkte

"Juicy and clean, a good lift and sense of life here. Not heavy or particularly weighty but the tannins have a round and filling mouthfeel, sleek but well textured with a push of ripe blueberries and some strawberry fruit. It stands up in the line up of St-Juliens. Acidity is still there on the finish which is great. Missing a touch more excitement and still some compaction but this ageing should help. Ageing 70% new oak. 3.57pH. 5% press wine (to check). Airpulse and pigeage to do soft extractions. Tasted three times." - Georgina Hindle (04/2025)

The 2024 Beychevelle might very well be the wine of the vintage in Saint-Julien. It is certainly among the very best I tasted on the Left Bank. Plush, inky and beautifully layered in the glass, the 2024 is so silky and inviting. Blue/purplish fruit, lavender, mocha and spice are some of the many notes that stain the palate. The sustained, resonant finish is a thing of beauty. Tasted two times.

Good depth and complexity here from this light, acid-driven vintage. Violets, fresh herbs, blackcurrants, berries and a touch of paprika and white pepper. Bright and succulent on the palate with firm, crunchy tannins and a structured finish.

A pure, balanced, absolutely classy Saint-Julien, the 2024 Château Beychevelle is deep purple-hued with ample red, blue, and black fruits intermixed with notes of graphite, lead pencil, and background oak. It's balanced, medium-bodied, has polished tannins, the fresher, juicy acidity of the vintage, and a great finish. The blend is 55% Cabernet, 42% Merlot, and 3% Petit Verdot checking in at 13% alcohol with a pH of 3.57 and an IPT of 75. (05/2025)

Deep garnet-purple colored. Black cherries, fresh red currants and mulberries scents slowly emerge from the glass, plus hints of wild sage and pencil lead. The light to medium-bodied palate delivers red berry and savory flavors with great tension and lightly chewy tannins, finishing with a skip in its step. (05/2025)
