2024 Château Clos Beauregard

The 2024 Clos Beauregard has a simple bouquet with light, tertiary red fruit-tinged that needs a little more intensity. The palate is medium-bodied with angular tannins and it feels a bit hollow toward the finish. This is early drinking. - Neal Martin (04/2025)

The 2024 Clos Beauregard is 100% Merlot from a mix of clay and sandy soils. Its dense ruby/plum hue is followed by solid, well-oaked aromatics of red and black fruits, scorched earth, damp earth, and chocolate. This medium-bodied, pure 2024 has good mid-palate depth, ripe tannins, and the juicy, lively style of the vintage. It should drink nicely right out of the gate yet also have a solid evolution. Deep garnet-purple in color. Has notes of stewed red plums and baked strawberries with touches of fried herbs and wet slate. The light to medium-bodied palate is soft and refreshing with savory flavors on the finish. (05/2025)
