"Inky plum in colour, as is often the case with this excellent estate, and it maintains its signature expression in 2024. Spiced peat and grilled smoke aromatics, sappy, mouthwatering and moreish on the finish, good quality." (04/2025)

"Dunkles Rubingranat, opaker Kern, violette Reflexe, breitere Randaufhellung. Ein Hauch von Pflaumen, rotes Waldbeerkonfit, etwas Nougat, einladendes Bukett. Saftig, feine Fruchtsüße, integrierte Säurestruktur, mineralisch, bereits gut entwickelt, ein vielseitiger Begleiter bei Tisch." - Peter Moser (04/2025)

"(Saint-Émilion; 78% Merlot; 15% Cabernet Franc; 7% Petit Verdot; 13.5% alcohol; tasted at the Association des Grands Crus Classés de St-Emilion press tasting at Dassault). This is very impressive and consolidates the upward path this property has been charting over recent vintages, consulted by Thomas Duclos. Quite rich and supple for the vintage, with a lovely sweetly-scented damson, black cherry and dark berry fruit. Much less chunky and foursquare than one it was, with gracious soft and ultra-fine grained tannins, still with that calcaire grip, imparting shape to the wine and pulling the fruit back to the spine. Architectural and with lovely fresh sapidity on the finish. This uses the natural acidity of the vintage so very well. When set in the context of the vintage, this is the best I’ve tasted from here." - Colin Hay (04/2025)

The 2024 Couvent des Jacobins is impressive. Dark and enveloping, with fine balance, Couvent des Jacobins is a standout. Blackberry, lavender, licorice, chocolate, new leather and spice fill out the layers in a broad, creamy Saint-Émilion. All the elements are so well balanced. Time on the skins was very long (five weeks in total), but it worked like a charm here. - Antonio Galloni (04/2025)

There is something quite lactic here that reminds me of salted caramels and a hint of goat cheese. The fruit is solid, showing decent concentration from this lighter vintage. Fleshy and round with medium to full body and a juicy, medium-long finish.

The 2024 Couvent Des Jacobins reveals meaty black cherries, leather, iron, and spicy notes on the nose. Nicely concentrated and medium-bodied on the palate, it has ripe, polished tannins and plenty of mid-palate depth, with a rock-solid personality. Tasted twice. (05/2025)

Deep garnet-purple colored. Stewed strawberries and baked raspberries with hints of scorched earth and tapenade plus a waft of wild thyme. The light to medium-bodied palate is a touch thin yet with appealing balance and savoriness. (05/2025)
