2024 Château Dauzac

The 2024 Dauzac was picked between September 23 and October 7 and aged in 65% new oak with a light "blonde" toasting. This has a straight-down-the-line, finely delineated Margaux bouquet with those prerequisite crushed violet aromas infusing the black fruit. The palate is medium-bodied with fine grip, structure and commendable substance toward the finish. This certainly has more substance than some of its peers and is one of the few that will benefit from some bottle age.

A crunchy and relatively fruity red for the vintage, with blackberries, blackcurrants and wet earth. Medium-bodied with a creamy texture and a fresh finish. (04/2025)

Deep garnet-purple colored. Gives up notes of baked red and black plums and tar, plus wafts of sautéed herbs and wild mushrooms. The light-bodied palate is soft and subtle with just enough freshness and a savory finish. (05/2025)
