"Good depths of cocoa bean and cassis aromatics, juicy with some oak impactful smoke on the finish, good, but the acidity casts its shadow. Antoine Medeville sole oenologist as of this vintage, 10% thermo on the Cabernets, and high Cabernet overall in the blend because the Merlots suffered more, so down to 15%, lowest on record. Denis Lurton owner, Tribaie machine to check density during sorting, and just 22hl/h yield, all vinified in 900hl oak casks, 30% new. Harvest 25 September to 10 October." (04/2025)

The 2024 Desmirail has a more closed bouquet with blackberry and light iodine scents. It just needs a tad more precision. The palate is medium-bodied with supple tannins. It's a little chewy and sinewy, but nicely focused with substance if not finesse on the slightly austere finish.

Sweet spices and herbal red berries on the nose. Light and crunchy with just medium body and lightly chewy tannins. Though not a vintage for depth, this is well-balanced and put-together.

Deep garnet-purple colored. Notes of fruit cake and stewed black cherries hop from the glass with hints of anise and hoisin in the background. The light to medium-bodied palate is soft and approachable with just enough freshness and a lifted finish. (05/2025)

A bouquet of dark berries and spices mingled with delicate oaky notes prefaces the 2024 Desmirail, a medium to full-bodied, juicy and round wine framed by delicate tannins and a fresh and short finish. This is a blend of 65% Cabernet Sauvignon, 15% Merlot, 10% Petit Verdot and 10% Cabernet Franc.
