"Blackcurrant and raspberry fruit tones on the nose with soft perfumed accents. Clean and clear, a lovely juiciness straight away, crisp but with a touch of flesh too giving a round but controlled mouthfeel. I like the fruit forwardness but this still has structure and power underneath. Fresh mint, dark chocolate, aniseed and graphite touches. This is good, it’s dark and a little knitted with some savoury spice but it has great acidity lifting the expression. One vat of Merlot chaptalised. 3.60pH. Ageing 58% new oak, 16 months. Harvest 20th September to 4th October for Merlot, 3rd to 5th for the Cabernet." - Georgina Hindle (04/2025)
