2024 Château Grand Puy Ducasse

The 2024 Grand-Puy Ducasse is gorgeous. Dark and resonant on the palate, the Grand Vin is endowed with terrific depth from start to finish. Black cherry, plum, chocolate, spice and new leather are all amplified, with a kick of French oak that wraps it all together. Technical Director Anne Le Naour found a way to give the 2024 ample textural richness without distorting the wine. This is impeccably done. Tasted three times.

A solid, dense Pauillac with a velvety texture. Nice fruit on the medium-bodied palate with fine, firm tannins and a long, chalky finish. (04/2025)

A beautiful effort, the 2024 Château Grand-Puy Ducasse reveals cassis, darker berries, graphite, spicy oak, and violet aromas. Medium to full-bodied, round, and beautifully balanced, it shows integrated oak and outstanding length. This has terrific purity and will easily be outstanding. (05/2025)

Deep garnet-purple colored. Delivers notes of mulberries and juicy strawberries with hints of graphite and fired herbs. The light to medium-bodied palate is approachable with soft tannins and plenty of freshness, finishing savory. (05/2025)

Offering up discreet aromas of red berry fruit and new oak, the 2024 Grand-Puy-Ducasse is medium-bodied, firm and compact.
