Jane Anson: 89 Punkte
"Bright, chalky, soft brambly fruits, good quality with a gentle unroll through the palate. Enjoyable, softly spoken. 22 hl/ha" (04/2025)

"Dunkles Rubingranat, tiefer Kern, violette Reflexe, dezente Randaufhellung.

The Drinks Business: 91-93 Punkte
"Floral. Fresh blooms picked this morning. Black cherries. Blueberries. But also bright crunchy red berry fruits. A little scratched leather too. Quite distinctive, with the signature crasse de fer minerality that tells us where we are. A little spice from the small proportion of new oak. The density and concentration is impressive. Indeed, this almost feels – rarely for the vintage – a little ‘blocky’ and foursquare. But the tannins remain soft and finely grained. There’s impressive weight and gravitas for the vintage if never the elegance of some of its more august neighbours (we’re just across the street from Trotanoy). A pleasing grape skin note on the finish." - Colin Hay (04/2025)

The 2024 La Cabanne has a simple bouquet with slightly smudged red berry fruit mixed with kirsch and light mushroom-y scents. The palate is medium-bodied with somewhat dry tannins, gaining balance toward the finish that does not quite deliver the nuance of the best vintages in recent years. - Neal Martin (04/2025)

A juicy, bright Pomerol, showing red cherries, potpourri and berries. Lovely fruit with medium body and fine-grained tannins. Medium-long finish. - Zekun Shuai (04/2025)

Based on 94% Merlot and 6% Cabernet Franc, the 2024 Château La Cabanne reveals ripe Bing cherries, leather, incense, and spice notes, intermixed with chocolaty oak nuances. Medium-bodied, round, and fleshy on the palate, with a pleasure-bent personality, this charming, front end-loaded effort is going to be best enjoyed in its youth. (05/2025)

Deep garnet-purple colored. Needs a little coaxing to reveal delicate notes of black raspberries and kirsch, plus suggestions of forest floor and spice box. The light to medium-bodied palate is soft with seamless freshness and a savory finish. (05/2025)

Aromas of sweet cherries, berries and a touch of new oak introduce the 2024 La Cabanne, a medium-bodied, pure and attractive red with good depth of fruit and powdery structuring tannins. - William Kelley (04/2025)
