"…sehr schöne, beinahe komplexe Nase, vielschichtig, ganz sauber, dunkle Beeren, Kirschen, gewisse Saftigkeit, auch gewisser Druck, sehr gute Säure und kräftige, sehr gute Tannine, sehr gute Struktur, schöne Schoko-Noten im Finish, schöne Länge und auch Druck, gewisser Charme im langen Finish." Gently toasted cedar and sandalwood, violet, lilac, powdery rose, plush fruits, savoury in the spirit of the vintage but with texture and even generosity, and velvety tannins. A great job from La Fleur-Petrus, seriously impressive and one to look out for - my wine of the Moueix stable in 2024. 50% new oak. Harvest 17 to 28 September, no chaptilisation, around 20% down on yield from a usual year. (04/2025)

The 2024 La Fleur-Pétrus is such a gorgeous wine. Sensual and inviting, the 2024 is impressive from the very first taste. Floral and spice aromatics resonate on the palate, where the wine is layered and delicate without sacrificing depth. The 2024 really builds from the mid-palate and into the finish, showing terrific persistence and fine overall harmony.

Shows solid ripeness for the vintage with plums, cherries and some orange peel as well as hazelnuts and cedar on both the nose and palate. Medium-bodied, this has creamy tannins, a juicy finish and a bit of fresh acidity at the end. Pretty length. A blend of 99.5% merlot and 0.5% petit verdot. (04/2025)

One of the deeper-hued wines from the Moueix team, the 2024 Château La Fleur-Pétrus is 99.5% Merlot and 0.5% Petit Verdot, harvested entirely in September and now resting in 50% new oak. It shows beautiful notes of black raspberries, cassis, graphite, savory flowers, and lead pencil. Medium-bodied, it has a layered, balanced mouthfeel, ripe, building tannins, and a great finish. This is a beautiful, elegant, and incredibly complete Pomerol that offers plenty to love. I wouldn't be surprised to see it play with the top wines of the vintage. (05/2025)

Deep garnet-purple colored. Springs from the glass with vibrant notes of fresh blackberries and kirsch, leading to hints of iron ore, red roses, and damp soil. The medium-bodied palate delivers firm, velvety tannins and a great core of red and black fruit, backed up by a well-knit acidity, finishing long and spicy. (05/2025)

Aromas of creamy dark berries, fruitcake and chocolate introduce the 2024 La Fleur-Pétrus, a medium to full-bodied, fleshy and supple wine that's rich and creamy, with good depth at the core and soft structuring tannins.
