"…saubere, klare, fast schon etwas intensive, schöne Nase, feine Tabaknoten, saftig, sehr gute Struktur, feine Süße, gewisser Charme, feine Bitterschoko, gute Struktur, gute, kräftige Tannine." (04/2025)

"Well handled, this has clear toasted oak, grilled cedar, cocoa bean, aromatics that lend the gourmet touches that are not always easy to find in 2024. Things get a little more austere on the close of play, with fresh acidities but juicy and enjoyable, soft finish. 50% new oak. Harvest 17 to 28 September." (04/2025)

"Ripe and perfumed nose, filled with floral scents and lots of blackcurrants. Quite tannic from the start, a little dry too on the mid palate with some sticky liquorice and cedar tones just taking over from the fruit. A bit pushed maybe or just not integrated enough at this stage. Has elements of cool blue fruit and cola which give freshness. Some acidity but a touch short on the finish. Ageing 50% new oak barrels for 12-14 months." - Georgina Hindle (04/2025)

The 2024 Lafleur-Gazin has a slightly herbaceous, what you might describe as "old school" bouquet and as much as I can criticize that…you know, it has charm and that intangible attribute of honesty. It is what it is. The palate is medium-bodied and cut from a different cloth to the nose, displaying more fruit intensity and weight than expected. Lightly spiced with white pepper towards the finish, it actually finishes with a little chutzpah. I am intrigued to see how this will develop in bottle.

Ripe plums and berries with good freshness. Medium-bodied with fine-grained tannins and a supple, juicy, medium-long finish. 100% merlot.

All Merlot from 8.5 hectares of vines, aging in 50% new barrels, the 2024 Château Lafleur-Gazin is deeper ruby/purple-hued and offers up beautiful aromatics of ripe blackberries, raspberries, spicy oak, graphite, and subtle chocolaty nuances. It's medium-bodied, balanced, has ripe tannins, and just a charming, layered, graceful style that's going to drink nicely right out of the gate. I'd happily buy a bottle. (05/2025)

Deep garnet-purple colored. Rolls out with ready-to-go notes of raspberry preserves and kirsch, giving way to an undercurrent of lavender oil, dried mint, and crushed rocks. The medium-bodied palate is plush and juicy with plenty of pure red fruit flavors and a spicy lift on the finish. (05/2025)

Aromas of dark berries, petroleum jelly and a hint of bell pepper introduce the 2024 Lafleur-Gazin, a medium-bodied, lively and youthfully stringy young Pomerol.
