"...schöne, blaubeerige Frucht, mittlerer Körper, sehr kräftige Tannine, etwas trocken, mittlerer Körper." (04/2025)

Yves Beck: 93-94 Punkte

"Klassische Noten von Zeder und Graphit im Bouquet von Langoa Barton, der auch Düfte von schwarzen Beeren und Gewürzen offenbart. Am Gaumen unterstreicht der Wein seine Ambitionen in Sachen Frische, ohne dabei an Kraft einzubüßen. Der Langoa Barton ist elegant, vigorös und wird von einer erfrischenden, funkelnden Struktur getragen. Ein mundender, saftiger und kräftiger Wein." (04/2025)

Decanter: 93 Punkte

"Fragrant raspberry and red cherry on the nose. Floral scents with some herbal, blackcurrant leaf aspects too. Grippy and lively, this has personality with bright cherry fruit, clean and clear, before slightly salty but fine tannins come in. Round and soft, crushed velvet with a gentle persistence. I love the structure and the overall weight, the Cabernet really shining. Compact on the finish where the tannins reside but this has a nice elegance and lift. Ageing 60% new oak. Tasted twice." - Georgina Hindle (04/2025)

Vinum: 93 Punkte

"Rubinrot leuchtend und strahlend klar im Duft, expressive Frucht, subtile Röstnoten, florale Töne; cremiger Auftakt, baut ordentlich Druck auf, bleibt dabei elegant, feinste Gerbstoffe verleihen Struktur, aromatisch komplex und lang im Abgang. Einmal mehr eine Bank."

Jane Anson: 93 Punkte

"Floral peony and lilac aromatics on the Langoa, and the fruit character keeps things finessed and soft - think red cherry, cherry pit, tobacco, black tea, thoroughly charming, just a little short on the finished compared to the exceptional 2022 or 2023 vintages. The difference in the blends between the two Barton St Julien wines is significant this year, with just over 50% here of Cabernet Sauvignon compared to over 90% in Léoville. Harvest 24 September to 5 October. 60% new oak, 30hl/h yield." (04/2025)

Falstaff: 92 Punkte

"Dunkles Rubingranat, violette Reflexe, dezente Randaufhellung. Reife Pflaumenfrucht, zart nach Herzkirschen, zarte Edelholznuancen, ein Hauch von Nougat, Orangenblüten. saftig, elegant und frisch strukturiert, rotbeeriger Touch im Abgang, lebendig und gut anhaftend." - Peter Moser (04/2025)

The Drinks Business: 91-93+ Punkte

"Lush and plush and very true both to its identity and to its appellation and terroir. It’s rather more ample in frame than, say, Gloria and more effusive and demonstratively juicy for that. But that also reinforces the slightly grainy character of the tannins which, though never dry, become slightly disruptive of the sinuous flow of the wine over the palate. I love the frangipane and toasted almond creaminess nonetheless. The élévage here will be important." - Colin Hay (04/2025)

The 2024 Langoa-Barton is such a pretty wine. Floral and bright, with lovely mid-weight structure, Langoa is a total charmer. Rose petal, crushed red berry fruit, spice, orange peel and mint are beautifully lifted. Bright saline undertones extend the finish. The 2024 is a promising Langoa. Tasted two times.

A firm and refined red with blackcurrant and mineral character. Medium-bodied, chewy and polished, suggesting well-selected grapes for the vintage. Well done. (04/2025)

Ripe black cherries, spicy herbs, and nicely integrated oak all define the 2024 Château Langoa Barton, a charming, medium-bodied, nicely balanced, elegant Saint-Julien based on 52% Cabernet Sauvignon, 40% Merlot, and 8% Cabernet Franc. I love its overall balance, and it has ripe, polished tannins and outstanding length. (05/2025)

Deep garnet-purple colored. Needs a little swirling to tempt out notes of red currant jelly and juicy strawberries, giving way to suggestions of dried sage, charcoal, and lavender. Light-bodied, the palate has a crisp backbone and lightly chewy tannins with herbs laced red berry flavors and a chalky finish. (05/2025)

The 2024 Langoa Barton is showing beautifully, wafting from the glass with aromas of sweet blackberries and plums mingled with notions of licorice, pencil shavings and lilac. Medium to full-bodied, with lively acids and good depth and density, it's pure and refined. This is a blend of 52% Cabernet Sauvignon, 40% Merlot and 8% Cabernet Franc, picked between 24 September and 5 October.
