"…schöne Fruchr, spicy Noten, Kirchenbank, saftig, feine Süße und Säure, etwas süßsauer, mittlerer Körper, kräftige Tannine, appetitlich, etwas trocken im Finale." (04/2025)

Yves Beck: 95-96 Punkte

"Neben Röstnuancen offenbart das Bouquet Anklänge von Pfingstrosen, Kräutern und süßen Gewürzen auf einem kreidigen Hintergrund. Am Gaumen ist der Clos Saint-Martin präzise und frisch. Er hat Fülle, ein wenig Charme, Temperament und Länge. Seine prägnante Struktur bildet einen lebhaften und saftigen Charakter. Ein sehr schöner Wein, der für die Zukunft gestaltet wurde." (04/2025)

Decanter: 94 Punkte

"Ripe fruit and some toasted touches, coffee and black chocolate on the nose. Smooth and sappy, this has a nicely controlled palate. Very detailed with lots of textural and flavour nuances. It’s ripe and concentrated and there’s grip. Muscular with clearly defined tannins as well as lots of spiced elements and high acidity. Classy and well constructed. It has plenty of personality, energy, finesse and brightness. Really excellent wine with so much potential as it has body, muscles, vibrancy and push." - Georgina Hindle (04/2025)

Jane Anson: 92 Punkte

"Softly spoken, carefully extracted, pureed blackberry and raspberry fruits, the acidity is high but gripping, with textured slate and chalk tannins reflective of its vineyard site. Charming, and earlier drinking than many vintages from this estate. 50% new oak, 50% amphora, Julien Viaud consultant. Harvest September 24 to October 4, 33hl/h yield. Tasted twice." (04/2025)

The 2024 Clos Saint-Martin is one of the most sensual wines in Saint-Émilion, as it so often is. Silky, plush contours and sweet floral notes lead into a core of red-toned fruit, blood orange and spice. Medium in body and quite gracious, the 2024 does not have the resonance of the very best years, but it more than makes up for that with its undeniable charm.

Good richness and ripeness for this year, with racy plums and crushed red currants. Good fruit and flesh in the middle, with juicy, fine-grained tannins and a medium-long finish. 80% merlot, 15% cabernet franc and 5% cabernet sauvignon.

The 2024 Clos Saint-Martin comes from a tiny 1.36 hectares of vines and is 80% Merlot, 15% Cabernet Franc, and 5% Cabernet Sauvignon. It will spend 18 months in 80% new barrels and 20% in jars. Darker black cherries, scorched earth, graphite, and smoky tobacco notes all emerge from this beauty, and it's medium-bodied, has a pure, layered mouthfeel, ripe, polished tannins, and outstanding length. As with most 2024s, it's more about balance, finesse, and upfront charm than power and richness, and it's going to drink nicely right out of the gate. (05/2025)

Deep garnet-purple colored. Has oaky overtones before opening out to notes of black cherries and stewed red plums, plus wafts of wild sage and dusty soil. The soft-textured, medium-bodied palate has plenty of expressive red and black berry flavors with a lively line and spicy finish. (05/2025)
