2024 Clos des Lunes "Lune d'Or"

The 2024 Lune d'Or, pure Sémillon picked from September 4 to 20 at 45 hl/ha, is a step up from the Lune d'Argent in terms of complexity. White peach, lime and hints of dried apricot unfold in the glass. The palate is fresh and vibrant with wonderful tension and impressive depth. This grabs the texture of the variety with both hands and runs with it. The finish has a lingering spiciness that beckons you back for more. It is excellent.

Light cream, minerals and woven fruit. Bright and crunchy, with a medium to full body and a long, lightly phenolic finish. A touch of salinity at the end. Semillon and around 3% sauvignon blanc.

The 2024 Clos des Lunes Lune d'Or Blanc is 100% Sémillon and is still resting in concrete eggs and 400-liter barrels. Richly textured and medium-bodied, it offers beautiful aromatics of stone and citrus fruits, flowers, and leafy herbs, with nicely integrated background oak. It has plenty of depth as well as obvious minerality on the finish. (05/2025)

Soars out of the glass with vibrant notes of lemon curd, orange blossoms, and lime leaves, leading to suggestions of wet pebbles and dill seed. The light-bodied palate has laser-fine precision with wonderful freshness and a mineral-laced finish. Yum! (05/2025)

Delicate notes of pear, spring flowers and white fruits emerge from the glass of the 2024 Lune d'Or, a medium to full-bodied, round and sappy wine with a fleshy core of fruit, bright acids and a long, ethereal finish. It should improve with the élevage.
