"...große, fruchtige Nase, schön, frisch, saftig, fleischig und Rasse, Körper und Finesse, lang, sehe gut, feine Lychees im langen Finale." (04/2025)

Jane Anson: 95 Punkte

"Restrained right now, just getting revved up, delivering pear, saffron, elderflower, white tea and liquorice root. Limestone soils in northern Médoc, field grafted from Cabernet Sauvignon in 2021. This needs carafing, and should take a few years before really opening up, but has a ton of texture, confidence and character. 3.04 pH. Harvest 17 to 27 September. 8% new oak." (04/2025)

Falstaff: 94 Punkte

The Drinks Business: 95-97 Punkte

"Almost Sauternais in terms of its aromatics. Lanolin. Peach, pear, yuzu, elderberry and jasmine. A little ginger, freshly grated, and lemongrass too. This is a study in tension – between the colossal horizontal range and the acidity that seeks to demolish it vertically (Dominique Arangoits laughs at the suggestion). Brilliantly explosive in the mouth. Incredibly broad and mouth-filling, succulent and stylish, but so vivid and dynamic. A balance constructed out of the battle of the 2 varietals – the amplitude of the Sémillon, the verticality and acidity conveyed by the Sauvignon Blanc. Glass-shatteringly brilliant!" (04/2025)

The 2024 Cos d'Estournel Blanc is one of the best editions of this wine I can remember tasting. Rich and ample, the 2024 possesses notable textural richness but also a good bit of moderating vibrancy. The balance here is simply superb. Lemon confit, almond, white flowers and chalk build into the layered, resonant finish.

A full-bodied white that’s 60% sauvignon blanc and 40% semillon. Very bright acidity with creamy wood influence. Intense kiwis, green stone fruit and guavas. Long, intense, textured and so vibrant, with a lasting, mouthwatering finish.

In contrast, the 2024 Château Cos D'Estournel Blanc is more Sauvignon Blanc-dominated and is based on 60% Sauvignon Blanc and 40% Semillon, resting all in just 8% new oak. It's cut from the same cloth as the Pagodes and has racy citrus, lime, crushed stone, and minty, grassy nuances as well as medium-bodied richness on the palate. It's balanced and has a layered, elegant mouthfeel and outstanding length. (05/2025)

Features notes of fresh lemon juice, grapefruit, and lime leaves, with touches of sea spray and yuzu. The light-bodied palate delivers intense citrus flavors with chalky sparks and a crisp backbone, finishing with impressive length. (05/2025)

Brooding and shy, the 2024 Cos d'Estournel Blanc reveals aromas of citrus and lime, followed by a moderately weighted, incisive and lively palate with tangy acids and a short finish. I'll reserve judgment until after bottling. - Yohan Castaing (04/2025)
