"Gorgeous aromas of lemon meringue pie, crisp green apples, white flowers, orange rind and a touch of dried herbs. The palate blends cool white stone fruit with ripe, exotic yellow fruit underpinned by a vibrant, mouthwatering acidity that gives it a sleek and straight backbone. Purity and polish in spades with excellent freshness and stony minerality. Great energy and precision with balance, density and a very slightly oily texture that fills the mouth. This is a single-estate wine from Finca Las Cerrilladas, located in Gualtallary Monasterio at 1,380 meters above sea level. Vinification and ageing for one year in unlined concrete vats. No malo and no batonnage. 3.25pH. A new addition on the Place de Bordeaux this year."

The 2024 El Camino de las Flores is 100% Chardonnay from Gualtallary, grown on pink caliche soils rich in clay and calcium carbonate. Yellow in hue, it opens with aromas of herbs and apple, huacatay, chamomile, sage and pineapple, delivering a clear and expressive bouquet. On the palate, this is broad and chalky, with tension, amplitude and depth of flavor. Medium-bodied and long on the finish, it balances volume with agility. The 2024 is a modern, high-altitude Chardonnay where the terroir lends so much textural complexity.

Austere and subtle on the nose, with delicate apricot aromas and, as the name suggests, a floral lift, underpinned by a stony, minerally edge. The palate is tight and medium- to full-bodied with striking tension and contained energy. Sourced from a vineyard in Gualtallary (Monasterio). Fermented and aged in cement, the wine is pure, precise and vibrant. Already excellent, but will benefit from further bottle age. Drink or hold.

Launching in September at La Place de Bordeaux, the 2024 Chardonnay Finca Las Cerrilladas El Camino De Las Flores is a new white wine that's outstanding right out of the gate. From a vineyard at 4,462 feet in Gualtallary Monasterio, it shows its cool, calcareous provenance and terroir, or airroir, of native vegetation, chalky in texture with a sound sense of place. The vintage is considered high quality and that’s true here, light to medium-bodied in weight and showcasing plenty of vervy freshness and an energetic sense of balance, dazzling in nectarine, green apple, and white flowers. Fermented with native yeasts in concrete, it saw no oak or malolactic fermentation. There's tremendous structure here, with a potential aging window of 15-18 years. What an incredible wine. (09/2025)

Zuccardi's 2024 El Camino de Las Flores comes from a sub-parcel of Finca Las Cerrilladas in Gualtallary Monestario and was vinified and aged for one year in unlined concrete vats without bâtonnage or malolactic fermentation. It opens with a radiant, complex bouquet of green orchard fruits, dried white flowers, chamomile, fresh herbs and a subtle touch of candlewax and background tropical notes, which create a delicately fleshed-out backdrop for its high-toned, energetic profile. The palate is tensile and seamless, blending a polished, compact density with invigorating acidity and mineral-driven purity that carries a long, weightless and intense finish. I look forward to following the evolution here once it develops more textural dimension and complexity after time in the cellar.
