"Another excellent dry white from Suduiraut in the vintage, showing apricot blossom, lime zest, saffron, turmeric, grilled cumin, lovely weight through the palate. 3.67 TA. 3.25 pH. Fermented in oak, 27% new, 23% fermented and aged in wineglobe. 70 year old vines. Harvest September 10-13, 3,000 bottles." (03/2025)

"Some soft wet wool aspects, creamy vanilla and lemon skin. Some salty, mineral notes on the nose, smells fresh. A combination of tropical pineapple and mango with bitter lemon and cream. Gentle and calm but this is so enjoyable, you get the richness as well as a lovely mineral bite. Forward and focussed, layered and nuanced. Really great, it’s soft and quiet, not a thick wine, but so finessed. Ageing 27% in new barrels, 50% from barrels of one vintage and 23% in wineglobe for nine months. Represents 3% of the production of dry wines. 3.25pH." - Georgina Hindle (04/2025)

"More Sauternes in a way in its aromatics – that touch of lanolin that I am rediscovering in the dry whites from here this year. Glassy and more ample and less tense than the Vieilles Vignes. From 55-60 year old vines. So bright, so fresh and so wonderful in this vintage. The acidity reins in the Sémillon. White pear, assorted white flowers. More horizontal than vertical. Richer and fatter but the freshness animates this from the core. Exquisite. Vibrant and with a brilliant minerality." - Colin Hay (05/2025)

The 2024 Grand Vin Blanc Sec Pur Sémillon is seriously impressive. Lemon confit, apricot, marzipan, white flowers, spice, white pepper and light tropical overtones stain the palate. The 2024 is quite closed today. It should be fabulous in another few years' time. For the first time, about 25% of the wine was aged in Wineglobe.

Lots of depth, with minerals, cream, kiwis and nectarines. Quite pure and slightly flinty at this stage. Pretty concentrated, with a medium to full body and a textured, cohesive center palate. Round and intense, with lovely freshness and a long, chalky finish.

The 2024 Château Suduiraut Pur Semillon is also terrific, with purity, richness, depth, and length. All Semillon from the top parcels and aged in 27% new barrels, it has a classy nose of ripe melon, white flowers, crushed stone, and even a hint of blanched almond. It's flawlessly balanced, has medium-bodied richness, and has a pure, layered texture and outstanding length. (05/2025)

The 2024 Pur Sémillon Blanc Sec is exquisite, revealing a complex, delicate bouquet of pear, white flowers and anise, followed by a medium to full-bodied, fleshy and round palate with bright acids and a delicate phenolic mid-palate that segues into a long, saline and pure finish. This is one of the white wines of the vintage.
