The 2024 Riesling Wintricher Geierslay Kabinett is like wet slate on the nose. It is salty and so stony, with a touch of smoky reduction. The palate adds a note of apple flesh. Raciness and brightness come together and drive down into the stone and fruit tones. The super svelte palate is a dream. The 2024 has a kind of quintessential Kabinett style. The finish is endless, leaving you in no doubt that you have tasted something absolutely authentic. The 2024 is incredibly incisive. Its 11.5 g/L of killer acidity meets around 40 g/L of residual sugar. (Off-dry)
