"Die Noten von Pfirsich und Zitrusschalen unterstreichen Reife und Frische und werden von zahlreichen Nuancen umgeben, darunter Maracuja, frische Ananas und nasse Steine. Der Wein hat einen dichten Auftakt und schafft eine gelungene Harmonie zwischen Vitalität, Herbheit und Charme. Er ist frisch, einladend, ausbalanciert und langanhaltend. Sehr schön!" (04/2026)

"Intense and concentrated, tropical fruits of papaya and sweet mango. 30% new oak." (04/2026)

"Some tropical aromas on the nose. You can really feel the weight and depth on the palate, the extra sugar gives a round lusciousness that sometimes you don’t get here and I love it. Orange, grapefruit, mango – succulent, sweet and still with a lift on the finish. A pure dessert wine. 13.5%. 3.8pH. 160g/l residual sugar. A yield of 18hl/ha. Tasted four times." - Georgina Hindle (04/2026)

"Helles Goldgelb, Silberreflexe. Feine, süße Pfirsichfrucht, ein Hauch von Babyananas, frische Marille, zarte Botrytiswürze. Saftig, deutliche Süße, reifer Pfirsich, Honig im Abgang, cremiger Stil, gutes Reifepotenzial." - Peter Moser (04/2026)

The 2025 Bastor-Lamontagne is a very pretty, understated Sauternes. Orange confit, cinnamon, butter, baked apple tart and chamomile are some of the many notes that take shape. The 2025 is soft and creamy, deftly balancing textural presence with freshness. Pretty floral notes reappear to extend the close.

Aromas of dust, mushrooms and dried apricots. Full-bodied, sweet and lush, with notable concentration and length, lifted by a touch of salinity and an attractive texture. Long, persistent and dense. 83% semillon and 17% sauvignon, with 160 g/L residual sugar. An intense wine.

A serious, powerful Sauternes, the 2025 Château Bastor-Lamontagne checks in as 83% Sémillon and 17% Sauvignon Blanc that will spend 16 months in barrels, 30% of which are new. Its medium gold hue is followed by a rich, powerful nose of honeyed apricot, grilled peach, mint, and spice. On the palate, it's rich, full-bodied, and concentrated, with an unctuous mouthfeel, nicely integrated acidity, and a great finish. Hitting 13.5% alcohol with a pH of 3.8, it's a seriously impressive barrel sample. (05/2026)

Pale straw-colored, the 2025 Bastor-Lamontagne prances out of the glass with showy notes of dried apricots and ripe, juicy pineapple, followed by hints of candied ginger and orange blossoms. The palate delivers honey-drizzled orchard fruit flavors with a refreshing line and a long, spicy finish. (04/2026)

Very sweet and with notes of lychee fruit. This vintage of Bastor Lamontage needs a little acidity to balance the fruits. It is otherwise a well made wine hat should offer fine drinking early on. (05/2026)
