"Tiefdunkles Rubingranat, violette Reflexe, zarte Randaufhellung. Zart animalische Brettnuancen, schwarze Kirschen, tabakige Nuancen. Mittlerer Körper, zart floral-vegetal am Gaumen, dezente Tannine, Nougat im Abgang, etwas zerfließender Stil." (04/2026)

"The inaugural vintage of a new estate with just 1.8ha of vines, across two plots of gravel and limestone soils, from Ludovic Martial of Château Méjean, located on the outskirts of Bordeaux in the 'urban' sector of Pessac Léognan. Whole cluster vinification in amphora and stainless steel tanks, aged in a mix of amphora and new 500l lightly-toasted oak barrels. Couple that with high Cabernet Sauvignon at 90%, and you won't be surprised when I say not to expect an overly luscious take on the vintage. Instead this is sleek, finessed, with fresh sage, blueberry and cassis fruit, slate textured tannins and plenty of bitter cocoa bean and liquorice notes. The vines were only planted a few years ago, in 2022, so this is defiitely one to watch as they age. Eric Boissenot Consultants, with Clare Giraudon taking the lead. 20hl/ha." (04/2026)

The 2025 Clos Bon Air has an open bouquet with primal, juicy red cherry and strawberry fruit, a little Grenache-like in style. The palate is medium-bodied with grainy tannins, slightly bitter red fruit and, disappointingly, it seems to fall away prematurely on the finish, leaving a slightly metallic residue. Nice label though.

A succulent and racy Pessac with sour cherries and warm straw on the nose. Medium-bodied with zesty acidity. Bright and succulent.
