Falstaff: 94 Punkte

"Deep dark ruby garnet, opaque core, violet reflections, subtle edge brightening. Ripe plums, a hint of figs, some nougat, candied orange zest underneath. Juicy, fine fruit sweetness, round tannins, shows freshness and charm, an elegant food companion, already harmonious and well-developed, has ageing potential." - Peter Moser (04/2026)

Yves Beck: 97-98 Punkte

2030-2055" (04/2026)

Jane Anson: 93 Punkte

"Intense, dark berry fruits, an old school Pomerol, austere and strict at this early stage, with high tannic count that slowly builds through the palate. Definitely in the Left Bank style of Gazin, needs time to soften. Tasted twice" (04/2026)

Decanter: 92 Punkte

"Black and blue fruit on the nose with some exotic spiced accents. Quite a light take, tannins are impactful and fill the mouth but this is quite closed and quiet for the moment. It has some watery blackcurrant juice but is a bit lifeless at the moment. Coiled and compact." - Georgina Hindle (04/2026)

Vinum: 97 Punkte

The 2025 Gazin was picked between August 28 and September 10 and aged in 40% new oak. It has a perfumed nose, well defined, with touches of oyster shell emerging with time and combining with the black fruit, remaining quite classical and old school in style. The palate is medium-bodied with ample weight. Rounded and pliant tannins, hints of truffle towards the finish, which just needs a little more grip. This will be one of the more approachable vintages from this Pomerol stalwart. - Neal Martin (05/2026)

A juicy and fine tannin texture with currant, raspberry and bark aromas and flavors. It’s medium-bodied and well structured with a caressing finish, all in balance. Very fine and attractive.

Red, blue, and black fruits, sappy flowers, damp earth, and some underbrush nuances all define the 2025 Château Gazin, a medium to full-bodied Pomerol with ripe tannins, nicely integrated acidity, and outstanding length on the finish. It's a ripe, sexy, complex Pomerol that has tons to love. The blend is 87% Merlot, 10% Cabernet Sauvignon, and the balance Cabernet Franc. Tasted twice. (05/2026)

Deep garnet-purple colored, the 2025 Gazin comes bounding out with exuberant notes of juicy black plums and baked blueberries, leading to touches of cedar, graphite, and dried herbs, plus a touch of Indian spices. The medium-bodied palate is filled with expressive black fruit preserves flavors, framed by velvety tannins and plenty of freshness, finishing spicy. (04/2026)

91-93 POINTS

A blend of 87% Merlot, 10% Cabernet Sauvignon and 3% Cabernet Franc, the 2025 Gazin unfurls in the glass with notes of plums, dark berries and violets. Medium- to full-bodied, rich and layered, with a dense core of fruit framed by plenty of sweet, powdery tannin, it concludes with a long, youthfully structured finish.
