2025 Château La Fleur Cardinale

The 2025 Fleur Cardinale offers an intriguing mix of intense, dark-red-toned fruit and cooling savory/mineral undertones. Plum, mocha, espresso, licorice, dried herbs and rose petal flesh out in the glass, adding layers of dynamic energy and intensity. Bracing saline notes underpin the long, sustained finish. Tasted two times.

Deep garnet-purple colored, the 2025 Fleur Cardinale sails out of the glass with vibrant notes of juicy black cherries and ripe blueberries, giving way to hints of lilacs, menthol, and licorice. The medium- to full-bodied palate is filled with fragrant black and blue fruit preserves flavors, supported by firm, grainy tannins and fantastic tension, finishing long and opulent. The blend is 77% Merlot, 21% Cabernet Franc, and 2% Cabernet Sauvignon with an alcohol of 13.8%. (04/2026)
