"Das Aushängeschild von Lascombes lässt sich in einem Wort zusammenfassen: Finesse! Die Verschmelzung von Noten von Cassis, Himbeeren und Minze ist hier auf ihrem Höhepunkt. Nach dem Belüften treten blumige Noten in den Vordergrund und unterstreichen so die Frische! Saftig und cremig im Auftakt, verfügt der Wein über dichte und präzise Tannine, die ihm Kraft und Struktur verleihen, während die Säure für Frische, Ausdruck und Nachhall sorgt. Ein würziger, eleganter und subtiler Wein, der seine Kraft unterstreicht, indem er sie in das Gesamtbild integriert, ohne dass sie die Oberhand gewinnt. Das ist eine sehr schöne stilistische Leistung der Teams von Lascombes, denn es ging darum, den Wein nicht neu zu erfinden, sondern ihn wieder auf einen Kurs zu bringen, der seine Seele, sein Wesen offenbart. Lascombes bleibt Lascombes und ist darüber hinaus noch mehr Lascombes als zuvor, denn man hat ihn wiederentdeckt, um ihn in den Vordergrund zu rücken." (04/2026)

"Rich, powerful, deep vivid plum colours, totally love the slate scrape texture here, and curling violet and iris flowers. As is so often the case this year, the wines need to take a beat before the creaminess and cherry pit steps in, love the interplay of gunsmoke and spice. Smooth and silky tannins, good quality with plenty of berry fruits, this has a beautiful balance. 25hl/ha Harvest September 8 to 25. 25hl/ha. Here they chose to prioritise the aromatics for picking and you feel it, but also get that slate texture that brings you to the Médoc. Yield 25 hl/ha. Harvest September 8 to 25. "Chocolate, blackcurrant and vanilla with blackcurrant leaf, some liquorice and dried flowers on the nose. Grippy and filling but light on its feet in terms of tannic strength. You get the body, the concentration and the intensity but the fruit purity really stands out – blackcurrant, blueberry and black cherry with lots of fresh mint, graphite, cola and liquorice. Quite a stately wine with a streamlined finish. Still young and firm. 1% Petit Verdot completes the blend. 3.6pH. A yield of 25hl/ha. 45% grand vin production." - Georgina Hindle (04/2026)

"Leicht reduktiv, noch vom Holz geprägt, zeigt Tiefgang, dunkle Frucht, Hagebutte, Vanille, auch Tee; dichter Gaumen, sehr gut strukturiert, noch etwas wild, mit markanten, geschliffenen Tanninen und einer lebhaften Säurestruktur, der Wein ist kräftig, jedoch nicht schwerfällig; endet salin und mit frischer, roter Beerenfrucht.
