2025 Château Le Boscq

The 2025 Le Boscq is plump, juicy and quite forward. Inky dark fruit, licorice, lavender, mint and chocolate are front and center. Plush contours wrap around the generous, pliant mid-palate. This opens beautifully through the finish. There's just a bit of new oak that needs to resolve.

A structured and chiseled red with aromas of black currants, blackberries, crushed stones and dried spices. Medium-bodied. Solid and precise finish. Classy. From organically grown grapes. 47% merlot, 47% cabernet sauvignon, 4% petit verdot and 2% cabernet franc. (04/2026)

Deep garnet-purple colored, the 2025 Le Boscq hops from the glass with spritely notes of black cherries and black currants, giving way to hints of tar, bay leaves, and lavender. The medium-bodied palate delivers bright black fruit flavors with a light chewiness to the texture and a lively line, finishing savory. (04/2026)

Far more approachable and attractive than in recent vintages, despite a naturally somber register, the 2025 Le Boscq reveals aromas of licorice, gentian, lead pencil and dark wild berries. Medium- to full-bodied, dense and layered, it’s well balanced and built around a core of fruit framed by velvety tannins, concluding with a long, mineral finish. This is the first vintage to be certified organic at the estate and the first wine from Maison Dourthe to be farmed under organic viticulture.
