"Tiefdunkles Rubingranat, opaker Kern, violette Reflexe, zarte Randaufhellung. Zart nach Zwetschken, Cassis und Nougat, einladendes Bukett, zart mit Edelholz unterlegt. Gute Balance, rote Kirschen, feine Tannine, frisch und anhaftend, eleganter Stil." - Peter Moser (04/2026)

The 2025 Lespault-Martillac is powerful, tannic and quite promising. Black fruit, leather, gravel, incense and tobacco make a strong entrance. Beams of supporting tannin lend shape and energy throughout. The 2025 needs time to soften, but it is a superb effort.

Deep garnet-purple colored, the 2025 Lespault-Martillac Rouge jumps with vivacious notes of fresh black plums, boysenberries, and anise, giving way to hints of forest floor and spice box. Medium-bodied, the palate is silky and lively with bright blue and black fruit and a spicy finish. The blend is 65% Merlot, 30% Cabernet Sauvignon, and 5% Petit Verdot. The alcohol is 13%. The 2025 Lespault-Martillac reveals a smoky, well-integrated oak bouquet with notes of dark berries, spices and dark wild fruit. Medium- to full-bodied, round and sapid, it’s dense and structured, built around youthful yet refined tannins. The finish is long and spicy, though marked by a certain mass and structure, reflecting the vintage’s inherent density. This is a blend of 65% Merlot, 30% Cabernet Sauvignon and 5% Petit Verdot.
