"Ripe plum, raspberry, damson, sage, tobacco, slate, juicy and appealing, lots of textural elements that keep you engaged, acidity in check, this is an excellent quality Marsau that is easy to recommend. A tiny yield of 20hl/ha, after just 40mm of rain from mid June right through to end of August. Harvest September 11 to 19, early for this sector but in line with the vintage. 50hl cement vats in winery since 2024 to do plot-by-plot vinification, careful hands off extraction, ageing is 30% in cement and the rest in neutral casks. 3.6ph, this is a very regular level at this estate." "Fragranced aromatics with violets and red cherries. Smooth and supple, this has both lovely purity and ripeness of plum and raspberry fruit that slowly expands round the mouth. Filling but light on its feet too with gently mouthwatering acidity alongside chalkiness, flint, iron, blood orange, slate and tobacco spice. The texture and persistence is lovely.
